this fact to use inferior – but cheap- blue LED’s in their flashlight, which emit little or no UV-A light. Instead these flashlights emit the visible color violet and blue. The result is that the object that should glow up under influence of UV-A light now stay hidden to the flashlight and the human eye. And with this non-performance comes the mistrust in this technology.

UV flashlights have been on the market for some time, but often the wrong wavelength were emitted and or the light was simply not strong enough. These issues have been addressed with the new DUAL-II POWERLIGHT from Alcochem Hygiene. A special UV-A/White LED has been developed, which combines strength and efficiency.

Up to 5 watts of concentrated UV-A light is at your disposal, which makes this flashlight the perfect tool for operational use in dimmed areas, but also for use in daylight areas.

Particle inspection of components. The UV inspection unit offers a working space of 48 x 20 cm, which can be used for parts inspection. The 4 Astron II LED UV-A lamps offer a homogeneous light distribution area, in which particles are clearly visualized. Using the UV inspection unit allows operators to keep both hands free for cleaning and further control.

Hand hygiene inspection. The ultraviolet light of the UV inspection unit shows unwanted parts or substances on hands, placed inside the cabinet. A drawer on the side of the unit offer space to place optional wipes. This allows for an optimized hygienic approach.
